We have received the following notification from National Grid:
We are planning to carrying out works to install a new underground cable for the new development site at Glebelands.
We plan to start our works on the 17th March 2026 and complete by the 27th March 2026.
Work will involve excavation works from our substation (which is in the corner of the Cam Surgery car park) along the footpath at the side of and in front of properties 34-37 before crossing the road into site.
Once this is complete, we will then install our cable before carrying out the live connections.
The footpath will be closed and there will be no parking outside of 34-37 during the works. A temporary walkway will be installed and access to properties 34-37 will be maintained at all times.
We are aware there is very limited space and we will ask our contractor to keep the site as tidy and as tight as possible. Traffic will be on a give and take system and small delays maybe possible during excavation works across the road and when installing the cable.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we will endeavour to complete the works as quick as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation whilst this working is being carried out.
